"Great Picture! The Pines headboard is from a small batch cast to the original pattern by the S&DRT in 1987 for the 125th anniversary of the S&D. One was kept for use on 88 (53808) and the others sold to pay for the casting I believe. I think I paid Ł50 for it and somewhere I have a pic of Donald Beale and Peter Smith holding it. Happy Memories. 20 odd years later this is the first time its been carried by an S&D loco."
